Custom Domains

Overview

The Domains Management panel (/settings/domains) allows you to connect your own branded web address (e.g., community.yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com) to your platform workspace, replacing the default *.thrico.app subdomain with automated TLS/SSL certificate provisioning.

How to Set Up a Custom Domain

Step 1: Access Domain Settings

1. In the left sidebar, navigate to Settings → Domains (/settings/domains).
2. You will see your default workspace address (e.g., your-workspace.thrico.app).

Step 2: Add Your Custom Domain

1. Click the Add Custom Domain button in the top action bar.
2. Enter your domain name:
   • Subdomain (Recommended): community.yourbrand.com, hub.yourbrand.com, portal.yourbrand.com
   • Apex / Root Domain: yourbrand.com
3. Click Continue / Save. You will be redirected to the DNS Verification page (/settings/domains/[id]).

Step 3: Configure DNS Records at Your Domain Registrar

Log in to your DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, AWS Route 53, Google Domains) and add the records shown on the screen:

For Subdomains (e.g., community.yourbrand.com):

For Root / Apex Domains (e.g., yourbrand.com):

Step 4: Verify DNS & Provision Automated SSL

1. Return to the Domain Detail page in your dashboard.
2. Click Verify DNS Records.
3. Once DNS propagation is detected (typically 2–30 minutes), the system will automatically:
   • Validate domain ownership.
   • Issue an automated Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL Certificate.
   • Enable HTTPS redirection.
4. The status badge will change from Pending Verification to Active / Secured.

Managing & Removing Domains

• Check SSL Status: Click Check SSL to verify certificate validity, expiry, and auto-renewal schedules.
• Delete / Disconnect Domain: Click the Delete Domain button to unbind the custom address and revert back to your default system subdomain.
