Step 1: Generate a Developer API Key in Odoo

  1. Log in to your Odoo instance (e.g. https://yourcompany.odoo.com).
  2. Click your User Avatar / Profile Name in the top-right header β†’ select Preferences (or My Profile).
  3. Switch to the Account Security tab.
  4. In the Developer API Keys section, click [ New API Key ].
  5. In the confirmation dialog:
    • Key Description: Thrico CRM Integration
    • Enter your Odoo account login password to authorize key generation.
  6. Click Generate Key.

Odoo only displays the API Key once. Copy and save it securely. Do NOT use your regular login password in place of the API Key.

Step 2: Find Your Database Name

Your database name is simply your subdomain:

  • If your URL is https://acmecorp.odoo.com, your database name is:

Step 3: Connect from the Thrico Admin Dashboard

  1. Open your Thrico Dashboard β†’ navigate to:

1. Model & Field Mapping

2. Initial Data Import
