Overview & Philosophy
The Impact Score Engine is an algorithmic reputation and influence system designed to evaluate genuine member value and participation quality within your community.
Unlike traditional points (which measure simple quantity), the Impact Score combines multi-category contributions, trust levels, network activity, consistency, and decay algorithms to produce a holistic score for each member.

The 5 Core Impact Categories
Every action and rule in the Impact Engine is categorized into one of five standard pillars:

Creating & Editing Impact Rules
Step 1: Navigate to Rules
- Go to Gamification → Impact Score → Rules.
- Click Create Rule (
/gamification/impact-score/rules/create).
Step 2: Configure Rule Parameters
- Source & Origin:
- Select between Core Module (Community, Courses, Events, Store) or Integration (Shopify, Discord, Slack, CRM).

- Select the specific event trigger (e.g.,

- Assign to one of the 5 Impact Categories (Engagement, Contribution, Trust, Network, Consistency).
- Impact Point Weighting:
- Set the score delta. Supports both positive rewards (e.g.,
+25,+100) and negative penalties (e.g.,-50for moderation flags), ranging from-1000to+1000.

- Daily Cap / Frequency Limits:
- Set the maximum impact points a user can accumulate from this specific rule within a single day.

Step 3: Save & Activate
Click Save Rule in the bottom floating panel. The rule immediately applies to new incoming events.
Member Impact Directory
The Member Scores section provides complete transparency into community member rankings:
- Impact Score: Total calculated impact rating.
- Category Breakdown Radar/Bars: Percentage contribution from each of the 5 categories (e.g., 40% Contribution, 30% Engagement, 20% Trust, 10% Consistency).
- Trend Indicator: Upward or downward score trajectory over 7, 30, and 90 days.
- Member Inspection: Click any member to inspect their complete transaction and scoring history.
Activity & Audit Logs
Activity Log
- Live event stream recording every member action that triggered an impact rule.
- Displays Timestamp, Member, Action, Module, Points Delta (
+or-), and Category tag. - Searchable by user handle, module, or date range.
Audit Log
- Administrative record tracking changes made to impact rules, templates, and formulas.
- Details Admin Name, Modified Rule/Setting, Old Value vs New Value, and Timestamp to ensure governance.
Templates & Algorithm Settings
- Active Template: Switch between predefined scoring models (e.g., Community Heavy, Creator Focused, Learning First).
- Score Decay (Inactivity Penalty): Optional periodic decay model where inactive members gradually lose non-permanent engagement scores, keeping leaderboards fresh and dynamic.
- Score Normalization: Normalize raw points onto a standard 0–1,000 or 0–100 scale for consistent presentation across platforms.
